I wanted to capture the players post-match, hoping for a beaten up look. After several attempts, I hadn’t quite nailed it. Then, one Sunday, it rained relentlessly and the players came out of the pitch covered in mud, only a few shots each on their way to the changing room and that was it! I never realised how much I liked the rain until that day!
